A 20-hour plane ride, a six-hour bus ride (then a little walking) but well worth the effort!
The beautiful young lady on the left side of the photo is 23 years old, was married at 16, and she has children 6 and 4 and a half. She sells handicrafts to tourists. Some people just have to grow up fast. Did I mention that she speaks excellent English too!
This is the good path (steep but with stone steps) … the bad paths are all mud!
Not for the feint of heart, ha!

A new clinic to visit: Hoa Binh Province needs portable ultrasound machines! We’ll come back here next trip to scan patients and to donate a new portable machine!
